☀️ Indian Summer Care
March to June is the most damaging season for Indian cars. UV index reaches 10–12, surface temperatures hit 70°C+, and shampoo dries on paint in under 90 seconds. Every detailing task needs timing and product changes.

Apply Ceramic or Sealant
Before peak summer heat, ensure your paint has maximum UV protection in place.
UV index above 10 causes clear coat oxidation 3× faster on unprotected paint. October-February application gives protection through the entire summer.

⏰
Shift Washing to Early Morning
Wash only before 8AM or after 6:30PM throughout April–June.
Panel temperatures above 50°C cause shampoo to dry within 90 seconds. Water minerals concentrate as water evaporates rapidly, leaving etching deposits.

Use RO/Filtered Wash Water
Indian tap water hardness is 150–600 ppm. In summer heat, mineral deposits form faster.
Hard water leaves calcium and magnesium spots that etch paint within hours when panels are hot. RO filter water (below 50 ppm) eliminates this risk completely.

Use Sunshade When Parked
Windshield sunshade reduces interior temperature by 15–25°C and protects dashboard.
Dashboard and steering wheel surfaces reach 80°C+ in direct summer sun, causing cracking and UV degradation within 2–3 seasons without protection.

Work Panel by Panel in Summer
Wash and rinse maximum 2 panels at a time before the section dries.
Above 40°C, shampoo starts drying on uncovered panels in under 2 minutes. Pre-rinse with cool water immediately before each section to lower surface temperature.

Increase Wash Frequency
Wash every 5–7 days in summer. Dust + heat bonds contamination more aggressively to paint.
Indian summer dust (particularly in Rajasthan, UP, Punjab) contains silica particles that bond more firmly to hot paint surfaces. Longer intervals make removal harder.

Apply Hydrophobic Windshield Coating
Pre-summer is the best time to apply glass coating — dry conditions allow proper cure.
Hydrophobic coatings applied in summer last through monsoon. Summer dryness gives optimal cure conditions before monsoon rain tests performance.

Store Liquid Products Correctly
Never leave ceramic coatings, sealants or waxes in a hot car or direct sunlight.
Liquid ceramic coatings can cure inside the bottle above 35°C, becoming unusable. Store in a cool, dark location. Waxes melt above 82°C — store indoors.
